Buyer’s guide & ticket terms.
Everything to know before booking, in one place.
Effective 29 October 2026 · Version 2026-10-29
Your booking
- Choose your event, ticket categories and quantities. Review the published date, venue and inclusions.
- Enter your name, email and the mobile number receiving the M-PESA request. Sign in to save an instalment plan and return to its balance.
- Apply an eligible promotion, then review the ticket subtotal, discount, service charge and complete total before accepting the terms and requesting payment.
- Wait for verified payment confirmation. A prompt, screenshot or pending screen is not a paid ticket.
When does the event start and finish?
BRUNCH in KAREN by UMBRELLA: Sunday, 22 November 2026, 12 p.m.–11 p.m. EAT. Royale Hotel Karen, Nairobi. Use Add to calendar to save the date.
How do I get my ticket?
Each admission ticket has a unique QR code. Tickets are issued after the full payment is verified. Download or print your ticket from the confirmation view or My tickets and bring it for scanning at entry.
Can I pay Lipa pole pole?
Where offered, choose Lipa pole pole, sign in and save your plan. Pay the initial 50%, then return to My tickets for the remaining balance. Your plan shows verified payments, the deadline and reservation status. A partial payment does not provide admission.
Payment options and availability
Only activated methods and available categories can be booked. A category may be paused or sold out. Direct M-PESA Buy Goods sends a Safaricom prompt for Till 5853935; other M-PESA and card options use Paystack’s hosted checkout. UMBRELLA never asks for your PIN or card security code. Crypto availability depends on the live checkout connection.
If a prompt fails or payment stays pending
Confirm your mobile number, unlock your phone and keep the M-PESA SIM active. Check the existing order’s payment status first. If you were debited, do not pay again. Keep the transaction receipt and order reference and contact UMBRELLA for reconciliation. Never pay an alternative account supplied in an unsolicited message.

Venue imagery
Selected venue photographs are professionally edited. Scenes showing guests are venue-based illustrative previews, not photographs of previous attendees or a promise of an exact event setup.
Event ticket terms
Know what you are booking, how payment is confirmed and where to get help.
Who you are booking with
UMBRELLA Events is operated by UMBRELLA PR, a trading name of AFRICASKI LIMITED, Nairobi, Kenya. Payment collection is through the activated payment provider displayed at checkout, including Paystack or KCB Buni. The M-PESA recipient may appear as AFRICASKI LIMITED. These terms apply to UMBRELLA’s event checkout, not services offered on another ticket platform.
Your account and permissions
By choosing to continue with email or a supported sign-in provider, you agree to use accurate details, keep account access private and follow these ticket terms. You authorise UMBRELLA and its service providers to process the information needed to authenticate your account, manage your bookings and payment plans, prevent fraud, send essential service messages and provide support, as explained in buyer privacy. A verified account can match bookings made with the same verified email. You may not use another person’s account or ticket without permission. Sign-in or purchase is not consent to unrelated marketing, an unlimited publicity licence or a waiver of statutory rights. Optional uses need a separate choice.
Your event and ticket choice
Read the published date, venue, time, tier and inclusions before paying. Information marked “to be announced” is not confirmed. Prices are in Kenyan shillings. Review the complete total before requesting payment; a changed price requires a new review. Early Bird, Regular (Non Alcohol), Regular (Alcohol) and Luxe (All inclusive) are distinct choices. Benefits that have not been published are not promised. Alcohol packages are restricted to adults aged 18 or over; identification may be requested.
Promo codes and service charges
Where a code applies, its discount is calculated from the ticket subtotal before the checkout service charge. One code can be used per booking, subject to its event, dates, minimum spend and usage cap. Unless the promotion states otherwise, it can be redeemed once per browser/device and once per network/IP address. People sharing a network may share the same limit. A pending checkout reserves the code; continue that order rather than creating another. Browser identifiers can be reset by clearing cookies and are an abuse control, not identity verification. Unpaid reservations temporarily count toward that cap. The complete ticket subtotal, discount, service charge and final amount are shown before payment. Percentage charges use gross-up calculation; M-PESA totals round up to whole shillings. The uniform card service charge covers processing up to 3.8%; actual local-card processing may be lower. Paystack automatic settlement has no extra charge. Unverified merchant withdrawal or Till tariffs are not added as invented costs. Provider asset-conversion or wallet/network costs are shown separately by Binance. Existing orders retain their original totals. Saved instalment plans include their service charge once and keep the payment method chosen at booking.
Event buyer privacy
The information needed to handle your order, with a clear route to your privacy rights.
Information used for checkout
When live payment is available, checkout sends your name, email, mobile number, event, ticket quantities, amount and payment method to the protected order service. It records the order reference, payment status, provider receipt and the version and time of your acceptance of the event terms. A saved payment plan also records your customer account, selected tickets, instalment references, verified amounts, remaining balance and plan deadlines. We do not ask for or store an M-PESA PIN, card number, card security code or wallet recovery phrase.
Purpose and access
Order information is used to process and reconcile payment, assist with delivery and entry arrangements, respond to queries, handle disputes and meet applicable record-keeping obligations. Authorised UMBRELLA administrators can view orders, payment plans and instalment records and export attendee lists. Event organisers and service providers should receive only what is necessary for those tasks. Buying a ticket does not subscribe you to marketing.
Services and international processing
The website uses Cloudflare-based hosting and Supabase for protected event and order records; the dedicated database is hosted in Ireland. Paystack, KCB and the relevant mobile-money or card provider process payment data under their own notices. Ella’s optional voice and chat features use Google’s AI services. These providers can process information outside Kenya. Contact UMBRELLA for information about the applicable transfer arrangements and safeguards before sharing sensitive information. Do not put payment secrets or confidential documents into chat.
Browser storage and retention
Your current checkout uses a private status token and non-contact order summary in this browser tab so it can recover after reload. Buyer name, email and phone are not saved in that browser payment record. Keep the tab private and do not share its token. Server records are retained only for the purposes above and relevant legal obligations; contact the team for the retention period applicable to your record.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to access or correct your data, object to relevant processing or request deletion where applicable. Some transaction records may need to remain for legal or dispute reasons. Contact info@umbrella.co.ke and describe your request; the team may need proportionate identity verification. Do not send identity documents in an initial public chat. You can also contact Kenya’s Office of the Data Protection Commissioner. Separate promotional photography consent is not a condition of purchasing a ticket.
Photography, audio & video notice
A clear notice about event coverage, without a blanket publicity waiver.
When recording may happen
UMBRELLA events may include photography, filming, interviews or audio recording. Coverage plans and recording areas should be announced for each event and signposted at the venue. This general notice does not confirm that any particular activity is part of BRUNCH in KAREN.
Identifiable promotional content
For a posed photograph, interview, testimonial or identifiable promotional feature, the team should explain the intended use and seek the appropriate permission. Booking or entering an event is not treated as an unlimited, permanent licence to use your image for any purpose. A person who declines promotional participation can still buy a ticket, subject to the event’s ordinary entry conditions.
Your preferences at the venue
If you do not want to be featured, tell the organiser or photographer when you arrive and before an interview or posed photograph. Ask about available areas or arrangements that reduce recording exposure. Wide crowd scenes may still include attendees incidentally; the organiser must consider the appropriate legal basis and objections. We cannot promise that other guests will never photograph an open event.
Children and sensitive situations
Identifiable promotional features involving children require suitable parent or guardian permission and additional care. Do not submit another person’s permission through your own checkout. The team should avoid intrusive recording, private conversations and sensitive situations.
Questions or removal requests
Contact info@umbrella.co.ke with the event name, date and a link or description of the media. Explain whether you are asking about use, withdrawing relevant consent or requesting review or removal. The team will assess the request and explain any lawful reason that prevents a requested action. This notice does not waive your data-protection rights.
For booking, accessibility, account or payment help, contact UMBRELLA or email info@umbrella.co.ke.
